It’s finally spooky season! There are so many fun activities to look forward to this Halloween, and a lot of them include pets. As pet ownership becomes more prevalent in the U.S., people are more likely to involve their pets in their day-to-day lives and their holiday celebrations. Halloween is no different. Many cities across the nation host Halloween Pet Parades, and here are some of our favorites!

Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade, New York City, NY

According to CNN, the Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade is “the largest dog costume parade in the world.” Annually, they expect hundreds of costumed dog participants, and thousands of guests.

Howl O’Ween Doggie Parade, Camelback Lodge, Tannersville, PA

Fall is the perfect time to visit the mountains of Pennsylvania, so a trip to Tannersville for the festivities and pup parade is a great trip for the whole family. This event is still pretty new, and registration is free, but the proceeds from their parking fees go to local non-profits.

Plan your visit for the costume contest, dog agility course, and even a rodeo course for you to train your dog. Talk about a pawsitively good time!

Little Lucy’s Halloween Pet Parade, Peconic, NY

Produced by Little Lucy to benefit the North Fork Animal Welfare League, this annual tradition has been going on for 21 years. It’s a fun festival, and the costume contest is filled with over-the-top costumes on pets and their people.

Sunnyvale Halloween Pet Parade & Faire, Sunnyvale, CA

This Halloween Pet Parade is a large, community event that takes place in Sunnyvale, CA. It’s worth the visit for the parade alone, but you can also enter your pet in the talent contest so they can show off their skills!

Halloween Pet Parade in Volunteer Park, Seattle, WA

This park is as beautiful as the pets on parade! This event is not only led by an Emcee, but also an 8-Bit Brass Band!

Howl-o-ween at Peter’s Park, Boston, MA

Peter’s Park is a dog park in Boston, MA, and this event is hosted by Red Dog Pet Resort and Spa, and the local non-profit, Gals Best Pals Rescue. Go trick-or-treating with local vendors and shop for fun pet-themed items. They even have Pumpkin Spice Lattes for dogs! All proceeds from the event benefit Gals Best Pals, so have a great time for a good cause.
